1. Overview
HealthIn is a fitness and nutrition app that helps you track meals using AI food recognition, log workouts, monitor body measurements, and receive AI-powered workout suggestions. To provide these features, we collect certain account, health, and usage information as described below.
2. Data We Collect
Account information
Email address, name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or log in (via Supabase Auth).
Health & fitness data
Weight, height, body measurements, fitness goals and targets, activity level, workout logs (exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration), and meal/nutrition logs (food items, calories, macros).
Photos
Meal photos you capture or upload for AI food recognition. These images are processed to identify food items and estimate calories and are not used for any purpose beyond generating that analysis.
Usage data
App interactions, feature usage, device and diagnostic information used to maintain and improve the App.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To create and maintain your account
- To analyze meal photos and estimate calories/macros using AI
- To generate personalized workout suggestions based on your profile and goals
- To calculate calorie burn, track progress, and display your workout and nutrition history
- To enable your coach (if you have one) to view relevant progress data, where applicable
- To maintain the security and integrity of the App
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party service providers to operate the App. Each processes only the data necessary to perform its function.
Supabase
Provides authentication, database, and file storage. Your account, health, and workout data are stored in a Supabase Postgres database protected by row-level security so that only you (and, where applicable, your coach) can access your own records.
Google Gemini API
Meal photos and profile context (such as goals and activity level) are sent to Google’s Gemini AI models to generate food recognition results and workout suggestions. Data sent to Gemini is subject to Google’s API data handling terms.
5. Coach Data Sharing
If you link your account to a coach, that coach may view and record certain data on your behalf, such as body measurements and progress notes, so they can support your fitness plan. Coaches can only access data for clients explicitly linked to their account, and you can request this link be removed at any time.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies restricting access to your own records. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and fitness data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Access, update, or correct your profile and logged data in-app
- Request a copy of the data associated with your account
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Unlink your account from a coach at any time

9. Children’s Privacy
HealthIn is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
